The Economist endorses Hillary Clinton

imageThe Economist has endorsed Hillary Clinton writing that she is “a better candidate than she seems and better suited to cope with the awful, broken state of Washington politics than her critics will admit.”

Lost amidst the polling data that tells us how fundamentally unpopular Hillary Clinton appears to be is any discussion of the likelihood that she will make a damn fine president. Shocking though this may be to some, part of the reason is precisely the fact that she is an insider, knows how the system works, and knows how to move the pieces in a way that achieves results.
