Night Music: “A Dying Cub Fan’s Last Request” (1981)

Long-suffering (there’s that term again) Cubs fan and Chicago folksinger Steve Goodman died in 1984 at the age of 36. This is not the only song he wrote about the Cubs, but it’s a good one, and appropriate this week.
