CNN is reporting that Hillary Clinton’s short list of running mate contenders is down to five names. Tim Kaine, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Sherrod Brown, Tom Vilsack and Tom Perez.
They also report that she “intends to keep her options open until Donald Trump reveals his selection.”
Trying to puzzle why Trump’s choice would impact Clinton’s decision. Could it be that the relative craziness of his decision, indicating a lack of seriousness, could give her the latitude to pick a less dynamic running mate?
Warren would be the most interesting, but Sherrod Brown might cover much the same ground without the kind of controversy Warren would invariably bring, love her though I do.
My money is on Brown.
