Trump-ism is now a thing

imageAt least former Texas Gov. Rick Perry thinks it’s a thing, as he recently tweeted:

“Defending conservatism against the cancer of Trump-ism – I hope you’ll join me Wednesday in DC,” as he linked to a policy forum in Washington where he will speak later this week.

So, let’s say the word gets some traction and actually survives past the events that have caused Perry to coin it, what do you suppose the dictionary definition would be?

Trump-ism (n): A political candidacy with the primary goal of raising the profile of the candidate through increasingly outrageous statements, without realistic hope of electoral success, usually for the purpose of furthering future business endeavours.
