Toronto Blue Jays win season-opener against Yankees

The Toronto Blue Jays were 6-1 winners in their season-opener over the Yankees in New York today. Drew Hutchison pitched a strong six innings and Edwin Encarnacion and rookie Devon Travis hit home runs.

Can a World Series victory be far behind for the boys north of the border? Yes, it can. Seriously. Absolutely no chance.

The good news, besides the win for my team,  is that I’m passing through Philadelphia today and it’s a glorious spring day here. Could winter actually be over?
